French Portfolio
Right Bank classicism from a limestone plateau in Saint-Émilion.
Château Pierre Blanche has stood on the Saint-Émilion plateau since 1867, when the Delacroix family acquired the property from a Bordelais négociant. The name — 'white stone' — refers to the limestone bedrock that lies just below the topsoil.
The estate farms 18 hectares in a single block, with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Vines average 45 years old. Fermentation takes place in a mix of concrete tulips and small oak vats, with 18 months of élevage in French oak, 40% new.
Grus Drinks distributes Pierre Blanche as part of its French flagship portfolio, with vintage-specific allocations reserved for restaurant partners and fine-wine collectors.
