French Portfolio
Village and premier cru Burgundy from a family domaine in Meursault.
Domaine des Hauts Vents was founded in 1953 by Bernard Girard, who assembled a mosaic of small parcels across the Côte de Beaune during the post-war consolidation. The domaine is now run by his granddaughter, who converted the estate to biodynamic farming in 2014.
Vinification is deliberately understated — indigenous yeasts, long élevage in seasoned barrels, and no fining or filtration. The results are transparent expressions of some of Burgundy's most storied lieux-dits.
Grus Drinks holds one of the domaine's few North American allocations, released once per year following the January en primeur tastings in Beaune.
Signature Wines

Blended from three parcels around the village. Textured, saline, precise.
White — Chardonnay
A single-cru bottling of stony intensity. Ages for 15+ years.
Red — Pinot Noir
Whole-cluster fermentation. Perfumed, ethereal, unmistakably Volnay.
