Casa del Duero was founded in 1974 by the Vega family, who reclaimed a network of century-old vineyards scattered across the villages of La Horra and Roa de Duero. Winemaking is led today by the third generation, working with a combination of traditional foudres and terracotta tinajas.

The estate farms 38 hectares of Tempranillo, with average vine age above 60 years. Cold nights at altitude preserve acidity while long, dry days concentrate the fruit — the combination that defines the greatest wines of the appellation.

Grus Drinks distributes Casa del Duero across select North American hospitality and independent retail partners, with allocations released twice per year following the estate's spring bottling.
